With the assistance of the apprentices in the training centre, we sometimes post video explaining the operation of the various pieces of plant machinery used on the course.
Topics are related to course content and include electronic engine management, oscilloscopes, small plant machinery and transmission components such as gearboxes and final drives.

We are based in Dublin in the Republic of Ireland and we train Phase 2 apprentice Construction Plant (CP) Fitters. A CP fitter does very similar to that of a heavy goods vehicle mechanic, but also covers topics like hydraulics and small plant machinery such as water pumps, cement mixers and concrete saws.
For the moment, we run 4 Phase 2 courses per year. Courses run in pairs from January to May and from July to November each ear. This may change shortly, as the course is now also being run in Cork, in the CIT.
